Fishline’s Board of Directors is a governing body
tasked with determining strategic direction, adherence to its guiding
principles and policies as well as oversight of the organization and its
staff. Members are asked to attend a majority of meetings, assist in
fundraising efforts and consider helping in other special projects.
Ranging from 12 to 15 volunteers, the Board meets once
a month on the third Monday at the City Hall 3rd floor conference
room. This meeting is open to the public – you are invited to join us
to learn more about the role of our Board members and the important work
being done on behalf of Fishline.
The purpose of the Board of Directors is to advise,
govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and
general promotion of NK Fishline so as to support the organizations
mission and needs.
Each NK Fishline Board Member is expected to meet the following responsibilities:

Commit to a three year term as a board member

Regularly attend monthly evening board meetings

Come to board meetings prepared (read pre-issued documents and prepare presentation information as needed)

Attend other board functions as required

Serve on at least one board committee

Contribute a minimum of 10 volunteer hours fundraising on behalf of Fishline

Participate in board education opportunities and training

Assist with recruitment of new board members

Sign the board member agreement annually
